ADDRESS TO THE NATION BY HON. ROBERT H. O. CORBIN, M.P. LEADER OF THE PEOPLE'S NATIONAL CONGRESS REFORM AND LEADER OF THE PARLIAMENTARY OPPOSITION ON THE FLOOD CRISIS MONDAY, JANUARY 24, 2005
My fellow Guyanese: I greet you with a heavy heart. I have been meeting with many of you as I traverse the flood ravaged communities of East and West Demerara. I have seen the look on hundreds of faces of families as we assessed the devastation of their homes, property and livestock. I am still at this time unable to fully absorb the scale of devastation and the depth of trauma which we are enduring as the flood waters make the lives of our young children difficult, the comfort of our babies and the welfare of our senior citizens impossible.

PNCR 2004 BUDGET PRESENTATION by Winston Murray, C.C.H., M.P. National Library Auditorium - Monday, April 05, 2004
The budget of the public sector for any year should be seen and placed within the context of an overarching, or underlying, medium term strategy for the country as a whole. It is difficult for me to honestly say that any clear strategy over the medium term is discernible here or for that matter, in any of the budgets presented by this administration.

Fellow Guyanese: I have decided to address you this evening due to a rather disturbing development which, if not urgently addressed, could seriously affect race relations and the security climate in Guyana.
