On Saturday, February 11, 2006, a delegation from the People's National Congress Reform visited the residents of flood hit communities in the Mahaica Creek. The team was headed by the Leader of the PNCR and Leader of the Opposition, Mr. Robert Corbin MP and included Ms. Amna Ally MP, member of the Central Executive Committee, Mrs. Volda Lawrence MP, Director of the Human Services of the Party and Ms. Bissoondai Rayman, former Member of Parliament.

The PNCR team distributed food hampers to families in Little Biaboo, Grasshook and No. 10. In discussions with the PNCR team, residents complained about the poor state of the shelters and about the slowness and inadequacy of the Government’s response to their plight.

This visit continued the series of visits the PNCR Leader has paid to the flood hit communities in West Coast Berbice, East Coast Demerara and Pomeroon.
