PRESS RELEASE Leader for 7th Annual Conference of the Parliamentary Network on the World Bank People’s National Congress Reform Congress Place, Sophia Georgetown, Guyana Saturday, March 10, 2007



The Leader of the People’s National Congress Reform, Mr. Robert H O Corbin has accepted an invitation to participate in the 7th Annual Conference of the Parliamentary Network on the World Bank in Capetown, South Africa from 15-17 March 2007.

The Parliamentary Network on the World Bank (PNoWB) is an independent non-governmental organization regulated by the French Law of 1901 and is gathering more than 1000 parliamentarian from 110 countries.
It was founded in May 2000 as an informal network of individual parliamentarians, to strengthen accountability and transparency in international financial institutions in general and in the Bank.
PNoWB also has Local and Regional Chapters in India, Japan, East Africa, West Africa, the Middle East and North Africa and the Balkans and anticipates launching a Latin America and Caribbean Chapter as well as a Southern Africa and South East Asia Chapters, in the coming year.
Mr. Corbin will be away from Guyana from Monday 12th March 2007.
