Wednesday, February 20, 2008 will be the 85th Birth Anniversary of the Founder Leader of the People’s National Congress Reform, former Prime Minister and President of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, the late Linden Forbes Sampson Burnham.

On the said day, February 20, 2008, the People’s National Congress Reform will celebrate the life and work of Guyana’s architect of independence, Linden Forbes Sampson Burnham, at a Symposium and Photographic Exhibition at the City Hall at 5:00 pm.

The Symposium and Photographic Exhibition are aimed at “Honouring L.F.S Burnham’s Vision and Acknowledging his Contribution to the Development of Guyana”.

At the Symposium, Ms. Hazel Woolford will deliver a presentation on “Forbes Burnham and Decolonisation” while Ms. Africo Selman, MP will address the symposium on “Forbes Burnham’s Contribution to the Independence of Guyana – Perspective of a Youth”.

The public is invited to participate in the symposium and to view the Photographic Exhibition from 3:00 pm on Wednesday, February 20, 2008.
