The Georgetown District of the People’s National Congress Reform has organised a number of sports activities and a Commemorative Concert to celebrate the 81st Birth Anniversary of its Founder Leader, Linden Forbes Sampson Burnham, O.E., S.C.

On Sunday, February 15, 2004, PNCR Chairman (ag), Mr. Vincent Alexander declared open a Handicap Table Tennis Tournament at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall to kick off the celebrations. This tournament will conclude with the finals on Saturday, February 21, 2004, and on the same day, registration for participants of the Netball Competition will be concluded by Ms. Lovern Fraser-Thomas from 15:00 hrs to 18:00 hrs. This competition will, however, commence on Sunday, February 22, 2004 at 09:00 hrs at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.

Contrary to earlier announcements, the Cycle Road Race schedule for 06:30 hrs on Sunday, February 22, 2004 is rescheduled to a date and time to be announced. In the meanwhile, a Volleyball Competition will be held at Burnham Court, Parade Ground on Sunday morning. All interested teams are asked to contact Mr. Trevor Smith for further details.

Also on Sunday, February 22, 2004, is the Commemorative Concert at the City Hall beginning at 17:00 hrs. Some of the country’s featured artistes will be show casing their talent. A donation of $300.00 is requested and tickets can be obtained from members of the PNCR Groups or any member of the Finance Committee, Georgetown District.

Commencing on Tuesday, February 24, 2004, is the Windball Competition for schools within Georgetown and surrounding districts to which invitations have already been distributed.
