On Independence Day, Wednesday, May 26, 2004, several scores of supporters and well- wishers of the PNCR were hosted at a reception organized by the PNCR Chapter in the Washington D. C. Metropolitan area.

The guests were welcomed by Mr. Donald Ainsworth, Chairman of the Washington DC Chapter, who thanked them for their continued support and urged them to redouble their efforts to more effectively realize the goals of the group. Mr. George Abrams (Treasurer) recapped the activities for the year and outlined the plan of work in the near to medium term.

The Washington DC group used the occasion to formally acknowledge those members and other individuals who worked tirelessly at fundraising and other activities during the past year.

The PNCR wishes to place on record our sincere congratulations and thanks to the dedicated supporters and friends in the Washington area for organizing and supporting this event.

Such examples of patriotism give us hope for the future of Guyana.

The guests enjoyed the wide array of local dishes and beverages provided for the occasion.
