SPECIAL DELEGATES CONGRESS - Friday 25 February 2011

The People’s National Congress is pleased to announce that all necessary preparations are on stream for the holding of its Special Delegates Congress on Saturday 26th February 2011, at Congress Place Sophia, Georgetown.

Approximately eight hundred and twenty-seven (827) Delegates and almost two hundred (200) Observers from the ten (10) regions of Guyana and from our North American and United Kingdom regions will be in attendance.

Registration begins at 07:00 hrs (7:00 am) and ends at 09:30hrs (9:30 am), allowing for the formal opening session to commence at 10:00 (10:00 am).

Included on the Programme are short addresses by the Chairman of the Party Mr. Bishwaishwar “Cammie” Ramsaroop, C.C.H. and the Leader of the Party, Mr. Robert H.O. Corbin, M.P. Thereafter, each of the Nominees in turn will address the Congress for ten minutes prior to the proceedings being handed over to the Returning Officer and Team from Sandra V. Jones and Associates. Delegates and Observers are urged to register early to avoid being in a last minute rush before the close of registration at 09:30hrs (9:30am).

Delegation Leaders are asked to take note of the following:

No vehicle would be allowed to enter the compound; all occupants must dis-embark and walk through the gate.

Upon entering the compound each person will identify himself/herself to the Scrutineers at that point by stating Name, Region and Group which must be found on the list provided. Marshals, who would be clearly identified, would direct persons to their registration centers which will be clearly marked.

After completing registration each Delegate/Observer would be advised to proceed into the auditorium and be seated.

There will be an after Congress get-together and all Members, Supporters and Friends of the Party are welcome to attend. This activity begins at 15:30 hrs (3:30 pm) with a Cultural Presentation and will provide opportunity for Attendees to meet and greet the Party’s Candidate.
